At Ginza Motoji, you can order a fully customized iromuji. You can choose not only the weave, but the very color itself, and we will custom dye it specially for you. Let help you in creating a special kimono that reflects your unique style.

The Custom Order Process
Step.1 Choosing the white fabric.
- Iromuji with Platinum Boy fabric (with or without woven patterns): Starting from 330,000 yen
*The prices include dyeing, lining, tailoring, and tax.
*A dyed crest can be added free of charge.
*The price may vary depending on the width or specific fabrics such as Tsubonori Chirimen.
Step.2 Choosing Your Favorite Color
At Ginza Motoji, we have preselected array of stylish colors for your iromuji. If one of these colours doesnt catch your eye, your more than welcome to choose any color that suits your taste.
Step.3 Choosing Your Mon (Family Crest) 「紋」
The price of one dyed Mon「染め抜き紋」 is included in the price. It is also possible to embroider your Mon at an extra cost.
If you do not have a Japanese family crest, you may pick one from a book of crests. It is also possible to have one custom designed to look like your own family crest too.

Step.3 Tailoring
Our highly trained staff will take your measurements at our store, and have your kimono tailored accordingly. We will make sure the kimono fits perfectly, so you can enjoy it every time you wear it.
The dyeing and tailoring of the kimono usually takes about two months. Once your kimono is ready, you can come and collect it in store. If you are not in Japan, we can also deliver overseas, sending it via FEDEX.
If you are unable to visit our store in Ginza, you can order online with our native English speaking staff who can guide you though the process.
Iromuji Lookbook
Depending on the obi and accessories, the same kimono can take on many forms, and can be worn for a plethora of occasions.
Graduation Ceremony
With a dressy Fukuro Obi.

With bold obi to match the celebratory mood.
Chakai / Tea Ceremony (茶会)
With a woven Nagoya obi or Dyed obi.
Memorial Service
If your kimono is a subdued color, it can be matched with a sober obi for wakes and memorial services.
