Shiseido x Ginza Motoji
Ginza Motoji had the pleasure of taking part in the production of SHISEIDO’s digital magazine, providing kimono styling throughout the series. Across four photoshoots, we styled kimono, obi, and accessories to complement the varied hair and make-up concepts created by the SHISEIDO team.
Inspired by multiple sources, SHISEIDO’s leading artists brought out the individuality of each model, and the pairing with kimono created a look that feels both traditional and editorial.
All kimono featured were selected from the Ginza Motoji archive. We coordinated works by makers including Koichi Yamagishi, Takeshi Kitamura, Ken Yotsui, and Seiko Kokuta, alongside many others.
We are sincerely grateful to everyone at SHISEIDO for this opportunity to share the beauty of kimono with a wider global audience.
Please feel free to explore the photos from all four shoots below.
